Join me in the Custom Cakes' Studio Thursday, July 30 & Friday, July 31, 2015 for our first baking class!  In this hands on class, students will bake cakes, make frosting, and make some of our most popular fillings.  All recipes used in class are the actual recipes used by Custom Cakes to make our delicious cakes.  Students will take home a Custom Cakes Baking Booklet which includes the recipes for our cakes, fillings, and frostings.

*Converting recipes to formulas

*Scaling recipes up and down.

*Fillings - a variety of our more popular flavors

*Frostings - American and Meringue

*Time permitting, we will fill and frost our cakes

Join me Monday, July 13, 2015 and discover just how easy it is to achieve perfect buttercream using the acrylic method.

Working with cake, students will learn my method for leveling, filling, and torting their cakes.  I will show you my method for using acrylics to easily achieve straight sides and edges using buttercream.   Next, I will share my method for covering a cake with fondant that will result in a crisp, sharp finish...perfect for decorating!

Wedding Cakes from Start to Finish - August 2& 3, 2015

Everything you always wanted to know about wedding cakes and then some.  In this two day course, students will work with real cake and move step by step through the fundamentals of creating and constructing their  two tier wedding cake.  For those who are new to cake decorating, this course will offer you a strong foundation in creating beautiful, well crafted wedding cakes.  If you are an experienced cake decorator, looking to refine your skills and gain a more professional look for your cakes, this class is for you.
